Support of Tandem Team Bryn helps showcase locally and on an international stage that achievement is unrelated to disability. Jason demonstrates in his personal life as a husband, father and cyclist and in his professional life as a disability rights attorney, that a disability is not always disabling.
"On the bike, I am just another cyclist trying to win a race where my visual impairment does not matter. To me, that is what it's all about."

U.S. Paralympic Tandem Team Bryn relies on community support through in-kind donations and tax deductible contributions to make this Olympic dream possible. Unlike their main European and Canadian rivals, there is no direct funding, equipment support, housing stipend, or salary for U.S. Paralympic cyclists. Governments of other countries fully support their paralympic cyclists financially and with equipment. Tandem Team Bryn is solely responsible for their own tandem bikes (road and track tandems), components and equipment, bike maintenance and repair, domestic race expenses and all other related costs. Unlike the majority of their competitors, both Jason and Glenn support their families with full-time jobs.
Since 2001 as a member of the U.S. National Paralympic Cycling Team, Jason has qualified for coaching services from Carmichael Training Systems (CTS) and room/board at team training camps at Olympic Training Center sites. Jason has been responsible for paying airfare to those camps and national competitions. U.S. Paralympics is paying for airfare and travel related expenses for Jason and Glenn to Athens. No financial assistance is provided for family member travel expenses to Athens.
As a result, Tandem Team Bryn seeks business sponsorship and individual contributions to help cover these expenses on the road to Athens. Tandem Team Bryn has an athlete development fund with the 501(c)(3) non-profit, U.S. Association of Blind Athletes. USABA then reimburses Jason from available funds in his athlete development account to offset expense receipts received. USABA sends out letters confirming receipt of contributions, which serves as tax verification. At this time, Jason seeks over $15,000 to cover expenses already incurred.
Tax deductible contributions in the form of a check should be made out to the Jason Bryn USABA Athlete Development Fund, and mailed to:

All sizes of contributions are welcome. Tandem Team Bryn and their supporters thank you for your consideration!
